After all my whining that fall was here too early--summer is back! Saturday was actually a beautiful day. It was too chilly to lay by the pool, but it was the perfect weather for a long walk with the hubs and pooch. I'm feeling like a lucky girl after so much great family time this weekend. We threw the windows and doors wide open and turned off the the AC. It was really nice.
And then it got back up to 90 degrees Sunday. I took my studying outside to the pool and soaked up some glorious sunshine. J even joined me as he watched the play by play of the Bears v Vikings game. Sorry Minnesota fans, Bears kicked it.
Now on to more important business of the weekend. Miss America.
I am not anti-pageant, but it is definitely not for me. Nonetheless, my Mom and I have a tradition of watching it. I always root for Miss California and Miss Arkansas, but Miss Kansas won my vote this year. I think my favorite part is swimsuits when the camera guy zooms in on their butts every time. Real classy, camera dude.
Congrats Miss New York. Loved the Bollywood-style dance.
I texted my mom asking who her pick was and she texted back-
"Oops, watching football. Silly me. Changing it now."
I want to be just like her when I grow up.
